Windows Hotkeys |
Most of us have become accustomed to using the mouse for almost all
operations other than basic typing as we interface with our computers. We have to stop typing and fumble around to find the
mouse for such simple functions as saving or opening a file.
But Windows, Microsoft Office, and many Windows compliant programs
still provide Hotkeys (also known as Shortcut Keys or Keyboard Shortcuts) to perform many basic functions. These are in addition to the
well known ESC key, arrow keys, and ALT + an underlined letter.
The pages referenced below provide partial lists of the more common and useful Hotkeys
generally available to assist in editing, document manipulation, and the Windows Interface itself. Try using some of these to make your work
easier and save a little time!
Keep in mind some of these may vary based on the Windows version and the specific
application. A little experimentation will quickly identify these differences.
